"a play that is able to be modern yet timeless...played with brilliantly in the directorial and design choices..."

"a considered and unique theatrical experience...beautifully marrying the abstract with the literal. A glimpse into the other side played with humour and intelligence"

"I don't want a fork if it's gonna lie to me."

A brother, a sister, a husband, and a stranger.

When loner Beane emerges from a burglary transformed, his well-meaning sister and brother-in-law struggle to understand. Their domestic routines cracked open, all four find themselves scrambling to make sense of a new world.

Deliciously dark and enchanting, John Kolvenbach’s offbeat comedy is a rhapsody to the human condition, urban isolation, and the power of love in all its forms.

This warehouse staging of LOVE SONG (Olivier nominee 'Best New Comedy' 2007) is created by Charlie Kenber (On Behalf of the People, 4x15) and RL Wilson (#paradoxparadox, BE Festival, London Short Film Festival).

A Kenber&Son Production generously supported by Arts Council England, the John Fernald Award (Equity Charitable Trust), and BB's Italian.

LOVE SONG will take place at The Holt, 156 Arundel St, Sheffield S1 4RE.
